"In the many years I have spent playing music privately and in public I have noticed that musicians and entertainers are either embellished and sanctioned like some sort of fortunate human, or virtually ignored all together. In my experience, I found that some rooms were so pleased to have you there to perform that they pay you with applause and you end up getting paid pretty good. Other rooms are deplorable. They consistently act as if you are unwelcome and that they would rather listen to "Freebird." There is a need for a place where artists can be inspired by one another and find the people, places and devices that they need to get to the next step. Without the faces of support, the duality of these audiences can tear an artist's confidence apart."
Wings Weekly is directed towards the audience or listener who is actively seeking new, creative music to rejoice in. While most of our mentioned artists are original music artists, some are known for bringing delightful and refreshing interpretations to cover music. Wings Weekly aims to feature the independent musician in a light that adds notoriety to their career endeavors. This site aims to be a cornerstone of the artist's press package and is to showcase the light that each artist possesses.
